On Select Phone, Canada Phone, and Free Phone databases, the name field, city, state, telephone and ZIP code fields have been optimized for fast searches. Where possible, information from at least one of these fields should be included in the search for optimal searching capabilities.
When searching for a specific street address, it is always faster to include the city name, state, the area code or ZIP code if you know them, as well as the street address. In general, entering in as much information as possible results in faster searching, as it is not necessary to search entire disc to find the information.
On Direct Phone and Home Phone databases, only the name field has been indexed this way. Any search you execute should include at least part of a name, or the search may take a very long time.
